Full-day hike on the Ancient Trail of Latuvi – Sierra Norte

The trail mostly follows a mountain stream and so runs mainly downhill the first half of the hike and then along the river. This is considered one of the most beautiful trails in the Pueblos Mancomunados. However, as it is deep in a valley it does not offer the kinds of panoramic vistas available on some other trails we hike.

Some safety and hike detail reminders:

• Water, bring and drink more than you think you need, please. Dehydration occurs 50% faster at the altitude you will be hiking, be mindful of your water intake.
• Hiking poles are handy for this trip, bring them if you have them

➡️ Additional Fee: Village Fee $100 + local guide fee ($35-$50 pesos, guide fee is divided by number of hikers)

➡️ Time frame: 7:30 – 3:30 pm. Please arrive at the boarding location at least 15 minutes before departure.

➡️ Meeting Point: Calle de Los Libres, between Zarate and San Martin, directly behind the Grand Fiesta Americana Hotel.
